Shenandoah, Virginia

December 15, 2018

One of only a few National Parks in the east, Shenandoah lies under two hours from Washington DC. The smooth, lush green hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains extend on either side of the Skyline Drive, falling in soft layers into the horizon.

The forests are full of life. Songbirds and mountain laurels brighten the hillsides, and abundant deer and black bears make the park feel like a secluded eden.

We even saw this adorable baby fawn crossing the road and disappearing into the trees!
